    5 lug with e38 style 5

what is a good tire choice for me? i have 96+ m3 front setup and 318ti rear and im going to be picking up a pair of e38 style 5's.

    ive heard of:
225/45 but only 2 choice for that size
    215/45 1 choice
    205/50 a ton

also how would my fitment be with the style 5's in general?
im not very knowledgeable on wheels/tires

You need to state what diameter. If 17s, 225/45/17 is much too tall.

I run 5 lug same setup as you, with BBS RS's 17x8 et 35 and 17x9 et 35. Fronts are using a 18mm spacer which makes it almost flush fitment, and the rear has about 5mm clearance and does rub under hard bumps.

    Use this to help out:
    Offset Calculator
    Tire Size Calculator
For the wheels, a 22.4in diameter is max you can run in the front.

He stated e38 on the topic.
Bastardized 5-lug conversions push the offets so that you need a higher offset wheel.
I think you're going to on the verge of poking tire with et23.

Going to need to go for the serious roll and stretched tire style to fit them with the E36 5 lug.

Ideally you need E36/E46 offset wheels.

Correct, ~et 40. I'd say ideally et 30 for a 8" front, and et 40 seems about perfect for the rear. As I stated I am essentially et 17 on a 8" wide wheel and it can still be pushed out a tad.

i was wondering if theres a thread with a list of wheels that fit 5 lug swapped e30's?

Buy a set you know that works, (as said E36/46 fitment) that you want, and from there and using the offset calculator you can determine any fitment of any other set.

As far as your question: no I don't think so.

you need et41 (e36m3) wheels and there are a ton of options in the 17's.

Just not that many 16" wheels make it over the e36m calipers. I ran 245/40's on mine and liked it. I also had a VERY adjustable susp.

                  see sig for pics

                  Edit:
Here is the e36m3 staggered rear wheels
