U think so? I will need 10mm spacers then, which isn't a big deal, Would I have to roll the fenders??

that would actually fit almost perefectly.... the only issue you will have is with the rear tire clearance... but this all depends on how low you are. You should not need spacers.

what's wrong with the 17x10? do u think it would look dumb?

This guy, johan, did that 17x8.5 and 17x10 rear.. That fills out much better. i just dont know how he did the spacing

It looks dumb because it sticks out of the fender and you are going to run 205 width tires on a 10" rim probably, which is retarded. Plus the fact that those weigh a ton and you don't need staggered rims on an E30 that already understeers.

            Just my 2 cents.

Let's drive fast and have fun.

bumping this up, there was never really an answer to this question...

i also am thinking of running 17x10 B1s on the rear. they come in et20, with 245/35/17. what kinda pulling/rolling and spacers would i be looking at. i dont care about the weight, imma have the motor to push these wheels no problem.

Should fit without spacers. The fenders will need to essentially be flared out, they will not look the same afterwards. Be prepared to paint the car. 245/35/17 tires are also pricey as all hell.

245/35/17 are available from a friend of mine who wholesales tires, so thats not a worry. however, i DO NOT want to flare my fenders, as my car was completely repainted last summer, so i guess its back to the drawing board for me.

                        245's on a 10inch isn't much of a stretch

I say do it... I like the look

245's on a 10" wheel is small I have 245's on my 17x8" wheels on my Z with a 10" wheel you better put a 275 on it or you are wasting the wheel. Just get some 8" wheels and you will be fine. I don't know why everyone likes staggered anyway. It is just a waste in my eyes you don't get that much performance from it and the tire cost more because they were out faster do to no rotation.

^ dude we had this discussion earlier about my own car

It depends on the car you have and the look you're going for. The wheel and tire fitment you had on your Z is irrelavant to E30. Just as I said with my WRX I used 255's on a 17x8, but that was a totally different look. Just as 225/40/18 is a common size on 18x9.5 wheels most drifters are using on S14's.

I don't think people really look at how much an inch is...It's not much. Cause people will say a tire that is perfect on a 8inch wheel looks dumb on a 9inch wheel. Some of the fastest cars in the world use a little bit of stretch (look at the time attack cars). Most are running 255's on a 9.5 wide wheel.
