    is this kosher?

I nabbed a couple pair of 15mm hub/wheel centric spacers for my style 5's. They have this bevel cut into them on the wheel centric side.

The hub centric rings on my wheels also have a slight bevel cut on the inside where it mates to the bevel of the spacers.

But, it's a very slight bevel. It' helps the ring sit well on the spacer, but it's so small that it causes the ring to not sit flush. My questions is, is this kosher?

As you can see, the hubcentric ring doesn't sit flush on the spacer. However, they fit snuggly. I'm wondering if I should leave these as is or take my hubcentric rings to a machine shop to have them bevel the hubcentric rings where the would sit flush against the spacer.

I know that having them sit flush would be optimal, but I would like to keep the extra couple of mm in width. Just wondering if it's safe.

as long as the hub centric ring doesnt prevent the wheel from bolting flush on the spacer you will be fine. my hub centric rings are plastic, and have the same bevel that is on your spacers, and also much skinnier, i have no vibration, lug nut loosening issues or anything. the lugs hold the wheel on center, the ring just eliminates a lot of the pain in the ass when mounting an aftermarket wheel, takes stress off the lugs, and helps eliminate vibration. i have countless customers with no rings at all on aftermarket wheels with larger hubs. even vehicle manufactures make cars where the wheels are not hub centric right out of the dealership. like i said as long as the wheel bolts flush, go for it.

That's the problem, the wheels don't bolt flush to the spacer. The hub centric rings once pushed into the wheels sit flush with the back of the wheel. So, the wheels float off the spacers just a little bit like in the last picture above.

That's no good then, you'll need to either get those rings machined or get new ones.
