    wheel polish

What is the best wheel polish that you have found here in the us? Using mothers but it isnt getting that mirror finish like I want.

Well mothers mag/Alu polish works well for me. Maybe your doing it wrong. If you have visible surface scratches you won't get that optimum shine. Wet sand the surface with 2000 grit. Then hit with mothers & a little wax afterwards. You could also use a polishing wheel on a drill

Polishing for the first time with mother's may take some elbow grease and time but after that, it gets easier to polish and achieve the desired look.

Are you sure your down to bare aluminum? Mothers won't turn black if your not polishing a bare surface

Almost every initial attempt to DIY polish ends up in frustration and lame results. What i have found out is that it will not work unless you have the commercial buffing felt wheel/bob and a high speed, sturdy rotational device. Mediocre drills do not work, they slow down and can't fight the resistance and get hot, often burn out. And cheap harbor freight felt wheels collapse.
I would leave it to the professionals if i were you. Its a waste of time and money doing it on your own.

I beg to differ. Hand polished my diving boards back in the day. 2000 grit wet sand, mag alu polish & wax
