Anyone have any experience with Tunershop

sorry to dig this up from last month...

i'm currently looking into buying their 60/40mm spring/shock kit from them. their site quotes $536.00 for it, yet when i inquired via e-mail, steve sent me back an e-mail quoting me $899.00 shipped. that's a shit ton of money for the kit altogether. other guys i have talked to paid approxmately $5_ _.00 ish for this kit and seemed surprised i was quoted so much. i was offered "possible" dealership discount as i work for a bmw dealership, but i cannot supply the information he's asking for in order to receive such a discount.

i understand KW products come from Germany and that's not cheap, but i've shipped a decent sized/weighted box over to europe once and i know it did not cost me four hundred bucks to do so. it sounds like steve's a good guy and many have attested to them being a reputable business and i beleive that, but i've twice asked via e-mails about pricing and havent gotten straight answers as to the differences. i feel like i am getting the run around here, not to mention being quoted too much money for the kit, but i wanted to hear other people speak up about them.

anybody have anything they could chime in with or inform me about?

yes, i got a vague answer back...i remember it being something to the tune of " KW of Germany recommended such a price and so and so...we are a premier dealer here in the US...no warranty stateside...blah blah" but nothing straight up. i'll check my work e-mail again tomorrow morning, i sent another e-mail before i left work asking once again so we'll see if that clears anything up.

Digging up an old thread...

Here is my experience,
I paid for a set of Borbet A's on September 5th, it is now Dec5th and I still don't have set of rims. After continuously changing the Borbet shipping date I was told they were unavailable until spring '07 so I changed it to Azev's which he said would come right away. After my extra payment cleared I was told that they would actually be able to ship by the end of November. I just sent an email to see if they have been shipped and Steve says they wont be available for another month but I could go 9" all around for shipping immideiately... I am pulling the plug on this one and getting a refund.
I hope that doesnt take the same amount of time!
