    Ideal tire size?

Looking to get a set of staggered wheels for my e30, 16x7 front 16x8 rear, +15 offset, whats the ideal tire size for each size rim respectively? Was planning on getting a set of 205/40 or 45 R16s. And will I have to roll the fenders and/or use wheel spacers with these size wheels? Thanks!

IIRC 16x7 is 205/50/16 to give correct radius and 225/45/16 for 16x8
89 E30 325is Lachs Silber - currently M20B31, M20B33 in the works, stroked to the hilt...

IIRC? And I'm never entirely sure what the first two numbers in the tire size signify?

The rear will slightly rub with that offset. The front will be ok. I would personally do 205/50 minimum.

          "If I recall correctly"
Also 205 is section width and 50 is sidewall. 50% of the section width I think.

205/50 all around? car is lowered with the eibach spring kit, 1.3in rear 1.0inch front i believe? i was told i would need to roll fenders for 16x8 rims, is that true?

If your offset is around 25+ you won't need a roll with 205 but with your 15 offset is gonna rub. I have 15x8 et15 with 205/50 and they rubbed like crazy before I rolled and flared the crap out of my rears.

                what exactly does offset mean?

the wheels I want are offered in either 16x7 +15 or 16x8 +15, i wanna get a staggered set so I'd have 16x8 in the rear, so I'd have to roll them sounds like. What exactly is the process for that, just get a fender roller and heat up the paint so it doesn't crack while you're rolling them? How much do you have to roll them?
