BEST tire size for 16x8 with adapters

    Hey guys -

so i'm looking for buy some tires asap for my e38 style 5's (16x8")
i am running 18mm adapters in the front, and 20mm in the rear.
car has late model rear arches.

what is the best size, or the most common to run?
as of now, i'm planning on 205/45-16's.

    thanks!

With those final offsets, 205/45 is your best choice.
You miiiiight push your luck in the rear with 215/45's.

I'm running 16x9 with an et of 15 on all four corners. Tire size 225/45/16. No rub lock to lock front. No rub in the rear. Late model vert. No spacers. 16x8 should work even better.

Do you have your fenders rolled?

                205/45's work best.

Do you have any pics to show 205/45/16 on a 16x9 or 16x8 wheel and mounted to the E30? I would like to compare this size to the 225/45/16 I already have.

Wow. The look is hot but not for me. I am old school. My preference is more tire then wheel. I have owned 8 e30 over the years. I try to find a wheel that bolts on with no adapters and no spacers. 4x100 only. no multi lug. I like the rake look (front drop only). Hit me up by text if you want to see pics. Thanks for the feedback.

has anyone run a square 225/45/16 or 215/40/16 setup on 18mm 5 lug adapters on a set of e38 style 5's? Any idea how much of a fender roll I'd need to do? I plan on being on coilovers so semi-adjustable on height.

I'm not a fan of stretched tires and I'd like to have some lip protection on the wheels.

I have an early e30 if that makes much of a difference (different rear arches from what I understand)

What tires are you running in the 225/45-16's?

                            I can't find any decent tires that aren't R-comps or $150+ tires!
