HELP, FIT Yes or NO???

I've been thinking about getting a new set of rims and i have been looking all over for a while now, and the ones that i keep coming back to are 17x9 et20 4x100 all the way around. I've been researching for a couple months now & no answer.

Can these work on our e30's?
YES/NO
How can i make them work?

Help me out please!

They are going to poke out of the fenders, whether they rub is anybody's game, but I'd say that they'll probably do.

17x9 will fit but front fender need to be rolled so the wheel sits flush. Back will clear and front will need like a 3mm spacer if that. Anything over 225 45 17 will not clear. I would suggest to do 17x9 in back and 17x8 or 8.5 in the front et20

I've still been doing research and this is the closest i've come to. This guy ran 17x9 +35 all around with 25mm spacers all around and 215/40 tires.

Do you think i could make my 17x9 +20 work if i use 10mm spacer all around and roll just my front, back or all fenders?

I would go 17x8 or 8.5 in the front but they don't make them that size.

yes the wheels will fit. Tire size will be the deal breaker. I am fitting 16x9 +12mm with 205/45. I just had to roll the fronts for more turning radius. Also depends on how low you are and spring rates

et20 sits inside the fenders pretty good.

The only issue will be the front clearance on the insert housings. You might have to play with spacers.

It would help if you post what wheels you are buying, I saw the link to the XXR, not sure if you based your search off those being the wheels that you're getting.

oh yes, forgot. with a 9j you need at least 12-10mm offset otherwise you contact the housings. I am at +13mm and it is really fucking close on the front

From what i calculated with that setup you want at a +10. Your wheel will poke out the fender exactly 1/2 in the back and about 1 1/2 in the front with no camber plates. If you have camber plates and put back to stock, you will poke out about 2 inches.

Here's a example of 17x9 +20 in the back with no spacer on 215 45. You have exactly 1 finger between tire and fender. All i did was roll the fender slightly. No pull. Here's a shot from the back also.

If you are set on these I would order and do some measurements to get fitment spot on. Mount tires before fitment, I always find you get better results. Then order hubcentric spacers from 42 designs

You will want extended lugs or stud conversion.
