    205/55/R16 - Will It Fit?

I have a chance to buy some 16" OZ Monte Carlo wheels, off an MKIII Golf. He doesn't know what offset or width they are, he says that two of them are on 205/55/R16 and the other two are on 205/40/R16. ~50% tread left apparently. How are these tires going to look on the car, will it look horrible? I think the 55's will be a little funny looking, but I won't know until I put them on. I don't want to have to replace the tires immediately, as they are not completely worn out. Opinions?

EDIT: Picture of them for the hell of it:

Funky. Both those sizes will sit wrong in the e30. the 205/55 is too big and the 205/40 is too small. proper sidewall ratio for 205 16's can range between 45 and 50.
This is your M20 on steroids:

So if I were to buy them, I'd be banking on having to buy new tires asap for them anyways?

um, not to mention spacers, longer lug bolts or studs, and anything else

it's from a FWD VW, so offest is almost certain to be way off. and you don't even know that.

both tires are off. i had 205-60-15s and they rubbed like a mother. only way that could possibly be pulled off is a stock height and no change in front caster

i'd vote buy wheels that fit and the proper tires
