Best front wheel width?

    Best front wheel width?

    This is going to be controversial, I know. I'm hoping some track guys and street guys alike will chime in. I would imagine for track, the wider the better. For street however, I'm not so sure.

    I had 8" before and found them to be uber grippy, but so much so that when you really pushed the car, the back end would sooner swing around than the front end ever start to push. I almost want the front end to start giving me feedback before I loose things.

    thoughts?

                    E30s should have balanced handling with the same size wheels and tires front and rear. If you're trying to adjust the handling, you should probably look elsewhere. How worn out are your rear subframe and control arm bushings? These can make the handling really sketchy as the rear wheels can start to toe out under cornering load.
