Well, you've got to take into account that you're going to have to run stretched tires so they don't rub. You can't effectively run the proper size tires for those wheels on an E30, there's not enough clearance. That being said, a 10mm spacer would put you at ET26, which would be about where you want them.Originally posted by stillflossin15Well, i am looking at 16x9 bbs rs, with ET36. This is what your tires will look like, be sure it's what you want:

are you positive that a 10mm spacer will do the trick. I have been reading that some people need 5-15mm spacers on 16x9 with ET15 wheels. Are they just doing this for poke reasons, or do they rub? It's just another manic Monday (oh-woe)

An offset around ET20-25 is ideal, so a 10mm should do the trick.Originally posted by stillflossin15are you positive that a 10mm spacer will do the trick. 205/45 on a 9 inch wide rim? Damn, that will be stretched! I accually don't know if it is possible... Most guys go with 215s, and they are already very stretched.Originally posted by stillflossin15I am looking at 205/45 tires. so it will be Stretched.

Such a waste of 9" worth of rim, and will drive like cr..........Originally posted by stillflossin15I am looking at 205/45 tires. so it will be Stretched.
At least try to fit a 225/45 on them (still stretched of course), bit of a fender roll never hurt any body!!!292rwhp E30 :DComment

I think you may be mistaken. You are aware that the required offset changes depending on your rim width? ET20-25 is good for an 7-8" rim but you will need around ET15 for 9". Get a 20mm spacer.Originally posted by EurospeedAn offset around ET20-25 is ideal, so a 10mm should do the trick.

A 17x7 rim with ET40 will just clear the strut (45mm). Going by that calculator 16x9 with et15 should give you similar clearance.

Alright, so I was mistaken there. I had forgotten the 9" width when I was thinking about the ideal offset. I do know what I'm talking about. There's no need to be such a dick about it.Originally posted by BoratPlease don't give more wheel advice until you know what you are talking about. On another note, the offset should be stamped on the wheel face, underneath the centercaps. That's how it is on the stock BBS weaves, that is.Comment

So...you're going for the euro-mex look?Originally posted by stillflossin15I think i am going to do 25mm spacers front and rear.
Those wheels, stand-alone, are no doubt hot. In the configuration you speak of? Not so much.
