    Good 14" tires...

What's a decent tire for the stock weave? Treadlife isn't important to me all that much as long as wet/dry grip are decent and they are pretty well suited for the autox. I mean to say that these wheels will be a daily deal, but I do autox once in a while.

Right now, I'm looking at those or perhaps the Hankook RS2s. Price plays pretty heavily in this equation.

Anyone ever auto-x'd 14" 512's? Thery were fine on my 17's, but now that I have them in 225/50/15 they are wayyyy too soft. The tiny sidewall was hiding just how Lexus these tires are.

        Get the Hankooks or RT-615's.

yeah, the falkens are good, I wish the sidwall of the 512 was stiffer though. They are just ok at the auto-x, azenis would have been much better.

I was getting tire squeal in the wet this weekend at Mid Oh with a fresh set of Ziex 512s.

Take that for what you will.

I dunno... dont ask me Jay.

The only tires I've had on my E30 for any real length of time have been ES100s twice and Azenis twice. I don't know anything but "stiff" sidewall... just used to it.

snows are 195/60 so not like cushy-mc-cushions.

195-65-14 bridgestone potenzas felt like pillows though years ago i remember. ahhhh... soft ride on the street > fuh raze on the street

I may get 225-50-15 ziex's just to make my ride comfy

I auto X'd my Ziex's in the rain last October, the sidewall is WAY to soft for fast manoevers, the car has way more body roll because of the tires, although I did have a lot of ultimate grip, the transitions sucked. I wouldn't want to auto-X on them again.......

I've got Azenis RT-615s now. This is my first performance tire, my previous tire was an absolute piece of shit, literally 1 website mentioned it (Korean). My grip has easily tripled in wet/dry. She responds much quicker to steering input, and feels a little quicker acceleration wise too (195/60). $64 per tire from edgeracing is a good deal, although a local tire dealer was selling them $80 balanced/mounted. I haven't looked at the Hankooks you guys are talking about, but I'd be very surprised if they had less channels (more of a contact area) then the 615s. I haven't had a problem in the rain yet, my town turns into a huge puddle when it rains too, beach/bay on either side.

                    Can't wait for IE 3s + Koni SAs :)

They are seriously the same price. The RT-615s run about 3 dollars more online, but I'm going to search around the local tire places and see what prices I can get.

FWIW, the 325eS I owned briefly had Ziex tires on it, and the PO had auto-x'ed the car. The sidewalls showed wear from rolling over.

Heh, I found the same too. My fresh set were howling in the wet during hard cornering, scared the crap outta me at first; great tires for street driving.

I may pump them up to try and find some stiffness (at only 33psi right now). It seriously feels like I removed the coilovers compared to the Azenis I was running before mounting these.

i'm planning to order some ES100s from work and run them on my weaves.

                            But should I get 195? or 205?

i had those on my car, with prokits, then GC's, and 15" k1's. good daily tires, but HORRIBLe for fun. I seriously pumped them up to 45psi looking to stiffen them up, nothing helped. it was stupid. don't do it.
