    What tires? 205/50-16

I just bought those RDs, so now I need some tires. I drive my car daily, but these tires will see some autox this summer. Since I live in WA I will also see a good amount of rain. What are some of my different tire options and the pros and cons of each? I would prefer to get something from tirerack beause I get mad discounts through my work. What have you all used and what do you recommend?

I'm not sure if there's really a tire that would be great for autox and street use in WA, but I don't think you could go wrong with the BFG G-force KD or KDW (wet traction) on the street. how much autox you planning to do? 1-2 events, more? you should come up to everett sometime :D

Not much autox. I am pretty booked with work and school, but really just something that wouldn't be sucky if I decided to take a day off and hit up the local autox.

my vote is for the KDW.. especially since you live in the NW. there may be other tires that are as nice but I haven't tried all of them yet :D

they would be fine for an autox or two, but if you wanted to do a full season you'd be disappointed.

KDW vs Sport? KDWs are gonna cost me about $25 more per tire. What is the difference?

Another one I am looking at is the KDW2s as well. A bit cheaper and by tire rack customer reviews a bit stickier.

well I do't think they even make the 1st gen KDW anymore, what I have is the KDW"2" (they only say KDW on them though) - I got mine from discounttire, but they pricematched the tirerack.

Im in the same boat here, My falken's are at the end of their life.
Especially in the rear. Doesnt take much to spin them.

I wish I could go wider, but with the RD wheels they come out so far I dont think I can go any wider than 205/50 r16.

How are KUMHO's other tires beside the 712? I have had the 712 in the past and it was awesome in the rain.

Heard good things about the Gforce KDW rain tire!

My updated Tirerack wholesale book has them originals on special for $99, but the new ones for $88. I think I will probably go with the new ones.

I just picked up some toyo T1-R's in 205/45-16. They are supposed to be one of the stickiest wet weather sport tires out there. I have had them only 2 days, it's raining and I cannot get them to break loose going in a straight line. I drive a windey country rode to and from work everyday, but haven't pushed them, they are carrying a little too much pressure up front, but once I dial it in I can comment on their cornering. The guy at Les Schwab told me that Toyo put on an event for the Schwab guys where he got to drive several cars, on skidpad in the wet with these, and he had the damnest time getting them to break traction. He told me after I paid for them, so I'm more inclined to believe him.
