    Bmw offsets

I am going to get some new wheels which have a Et18 offset.
There shouldnt be any problme should there because i know stock is ET20.
    They are a 17x7 wheel.
    Thanks

You didnt say what body this is going on, but either way, expect rubbing.

      stock offset for a 325is is ET30 (14x6.5 bbs and 14x6 bottlecaps), not ET20.

in any case, you'll probably be fine depending on your tire choices. you may have to roll the fenders in the rear for more clearance if you have rubbing issues.

If I could fit ET20 on an ix, they should fit on any other E30 :P

I would think you should be alright with that offset. I used to run 225/45/16 on a 7.5" et20 with no rubbing. (early e30 quarter panels...with later ones it would have rubbed)
Regardless, I had an extra quarter inch on each side of the rim translating to about 6 mm or so. So with a 7" rim and that offset, I think you should be good.

Go with the et 18 and run 215/40-17 tires; you may have to roll the fenders, but it would look much better than having them tucked way into the fender wells.

35/38 is too high for a RWD E30. those are more like FWD/AWD offsets. they will fit but it will look really stupid.

Listen, 17x7 et18 with a 215/40R17 tire wiill fit PERFECTLY. It will fill the fender well very nicely. I doubt you'll have to roll the inner fender lip because you're running a 7" wide wheel and not a 7.5" wide wheel. Idea offset for the 17x7 is et20, the 2mm more deeper offset will be negligible.

My 16x7.5 Borbet Type E's have a 35mm offset. I run 225/45/16 tires and use 8mm spacers and they just barely fit. Only rubbing is front tires scraping wheel well on full turn. And they definitely don't look stupid :finger: .

They don't look stupid because the offset is at 27mm because of the spacers. Without the spacers, they WOULD look stupid. And they wouldn't fit.
