Need a recommendation on 16" tires

I was really hoping my tax return would be bigger so that I could finally buy the 225/45/16 tires my car deserves, but looks like that will have to wait another year, or something...

SO anyways, it looks like I might have to get another set of 205/50/16 tires because the selection is so much more and I would rather buy new than used. Theres also the option of 225/50/16 but that seems like it would be way more meaty on the 7" wheel

Im shooting for the ~$100/ tire range

Man, the 225/45 16 Direzza is only $130 at tire rack, are you sure you can't swing that ?

I planned on buying 5 tires and after shipping it ends up being $700 for those, a 205/50 from Discount Tire has free shipping so $500 vs $700 is a big difference. I checked last night and my front 205/50s are still pretty good, but the rears are suspect so I might just buckle down and get 2 for now

edit: Just looked into 2 of them to get rid of the flat spotted rear/ old tires and it came out to $300.08 so I just ordered those. Excited to finally get the correct size tire haha

Nitto doesn't currently list a NeoGen (or any tire at all) in 225/45/16.

Their parrent company Toyo makes Proxes RIRs in that size, but they are pricey at $160+ship (Tire rack).

The budget options appear to be the Direzza's at 130+ship (Tire rack).
OR Nexen N'Fera SU1 W-rated from tirebuyer at $89 incl ship to designated installers.
If you want staggered Front: 205/50ZR16 Rear: 225/45ZR16 then Nexens also fit.
Can't comment on the quality or performance, but the fitment and price makes it worth a 2nd look.
