Slapped some paint on my bottlecaps

Here´s a picture on one of them.

And yes, it was a bitch masking all those spokes...

Still, I don´t know if I´m going to use these, or buy a set of 16" Hartges w/o centercaps from a friend.

Normally I would go for the hartges of course, but since the money is tight, I was thinking of using the money for a 5 lug-conversion later on instead, and use the bottlecaps in the meantime.

    Any thoughts?

don't bother with a 5 lug conversion, unless you are going for HUGE power and big brakes. stock brakes are fine with SS lines and good pads, and those wheels are nice and pretty rare to booth.

NICE, i always wanted to do that to a set of bottle caps, have yet to find the time.

Hartges are better in 6 spoke, and with caps

those hartge's look sweet, i would have no reason to go 5 lug,..... but then its pretty hard to find nice looking wheels for e30's, compared all the e36 m3 wheels, not to mention the e39 webs or 15 spoke 17's. plus just having a 5 lug e30 seperates u from the crowd, u can even sport e34 bottle caps and they look good

yea but why spend 2 grand just so you could rock some pimpin wheels? spend half that on some deep dish bbs's and youll stand out just fine especially in nyc

to original poster caps look bearable but buy the hartge's clean them up and sell them to someone in the states those things fetch a premium and are probably as common to you guys are baskets or ronals are to us

Well, I´m not really sure what I´m going to do.

I could spend money on good tires, and put them on the bottlecaps.

Or I could buy the Hartges with tires for about 244$ US.

Or buy a set of 8x17" M5 3,6 tireless rims for 275$ US, and save them for a eventual 5-lug conversion. They are a lot cheaper to do here, but it´s still expensive.

Or I could get a new windshield on my E36 dailydriver. It cracked this morning.

Money is kind of tight right now. I can only do one of these things, so we´ll see.

I´m studying to be a carpainter, and that was why I could paint the bottlecaps for free.

Well, I´ve only just begun learning the trade, but it took about a day and a half. Half a day to mask, and about a day to paint, but I was doing other stuff at the same time.

1st issue with the bbs rs's, even though they are the most beautiful wheels to get, they are also the softest, i had 17's on my e34 and i always had to get them straigtened out. Even the smallest pothole would bend them.
                  2nd , i'm about 1g into the 5 lug conversion, including the style 5's

Looks better than mine around the spokes, but I realized they were bottle caps and didn't get anal about it :)
