      Should fit with fender massaging.

Oh no, I may have to give my homie $20? I hate it when he's right. No matter what the bet is. Any other answers out there? We have agree to count the answers and get the best average. Damn, he's an E30 hater to.

Is it the inside fender housing rub? Or fender rub lock to lock? I have worn 225/45/16 on 16x9 up front, H&R sports, 15et with no problems. Is the 16x9 and 16x7.5 that big a difference?

          rip $20

          16x7.5 et15 is less aggressive than 16x9 et15.

I'm surprised you were able to fit 16x9 et15 in the front, though. Usually you need at least a 3mm spacer for those specs.

Rip $20???? Sooo if the 16x7.5 running 225/45/16, et 15 will fit without rub, then I win.

If you successfully ran a 16x9, why is there an argument about a 16x7.5?

Ummmm..... Argument??? We were discussing the 16x7.5 sidewall possibly making a difference in rub/not rub because air in the tire may allow the rubber to wrap around the smaller wheel width. Didn't want to invest money in the wrong rubber size. There is never a refund on mounted rubber. Wether you put it on the ground or not. No worries. Thanks for the feedback.

225/45/16 is the proper tire in a 16"x7.5" wheel. It's what the evo M3 had stock.

Of you fit 16x9 et 15 then 16x7.5 et 15 should fit no problem. Offset is key

I fit my shitty ESM's up front in that size. I think it has a lot to do with how close they actually are to ET15, seems to be 50/50 on whether they fit or not

Hey Todd. I'm on here often and just looked back on your follow up. My bad on the wheel tire confusion. October 2014 I was running Schmidt Modernline 16x9, et 15 with 225/45/16 x 4. A square package. I wanted to try the staggered look and had just got in from Tunershop a new pair 16x7.5, et15 wheels for my fronts. I was soliciting tire size info from the forum for the 16x7.5.

Now the front 16x7.5, et15 are worn and I have left over a vg condition pair of 225/45/16 Nexen. I have successfully run 225/45/16 up front on 16x9, et15 with no problem. HnR sports, no fender roll, no spacers. But was not sure of the metrics on a 16x7.5 et15. My apologies for the confusion.

I was so caught up in trying to shut up a Japanese car guy bad mouthing E30 that I made the bet and we agreed on percentage of responses. Thanks for the feed back. Cheers!
