    Ha, I actually made sure I was in a well ventilated area. It was hot yesterday when I did the stripping.
    i thought the object was to let it air dry and apply more coats of the gel.

    thats what method i used when stripping a mustang's paint. was coming off in like foot long strips

    That was the exact procedure I did, like I stated in the original post, 3-4 coats of crappy paint take a toll over the years.
    It's all good though, with your guy's help I was able to remove a huge amount of gunked up crap.

    What i would do is take the gel version and apply it with paint brush and then let it sit the 10 or 20 min it needs. After that i would take a plastic razor blade and scrape the shit off.

    Thank for the tips guys, I went ahead and used some heavy duty, thick rubber gloves I had from work. Only complaint is, I used a paint brush and some small dots would hit my skin and freaking burn.
