Tires for daily city and track use

My S-drives are about pooched, I'll be looking to buy some rubber for the spring soon enough but options are getting slim...

Engine is S52B32 through a G260 and 3.73lsd with increased clutch pack lockup.
    Wheels are Ronal LS 15x7.5
Suspension is H&R Sport with Koni SA
Currently running 205/55r15 Yoko S-drives (8.6" section width, 7.4" tread width, ~1% undersize diameter). They've done ok for what they are. Soft and comfortable for a daily driver but not so good for performance on track and autocross, they get greasy fast. I do daily this car so rain performance is a slight consideration. I have winter wheels and tires for the off seasons.

    Main options
    - Another set of Yoko's
    - 195/55r15 Dunlop ZII Star Specs (7.9" section width, 7.0" tread width, ~2% undersize diameter)
    - 205/50r15 Falken Azeni RT615 (8.2" section width, 7.6" tread width, ~3.9% undersize diameter)

Leaning towards the Falkens at the moment due to past experience with 205/50 RT215's but I hear great things about star specs and the 195 are closer to stock diameter and barely much narrower than the yoko setup on the car now. I bet I'd still see a ton more grip from them even with the 1/2" loss in tread on the pavement. Thoughts?

Although I have no experience with the Star Specs, much like yourself I have found that they are highly praised. They might be my next set of tires, but I was also interested in the Potenza RE-71Rs since I don't daily my E30. The Potenzas are also about $15 cheaper per tire on tirerack for 205/50r16s. However, I don't think the RE-71s come in 195/55r15.

I have the star specs in the 225/45/16 size and love them.

Conveniently the star specs are now available in 205/50r15 at tire rack. As much as I want to try the Falkens as a throwback to my old RT215's I think the Star Specs are the better choice overall. Tire rack tested the Falken's and found them to be a better street tire but with lower rain performance capabilities.

My buddy had a set on his e34 m5 and despite moving to slicks for his racecar he still sings praises of the Dunlops. I figure I can't lose!

Only thing I am not fond of is the lack of the "lip" at the wheels edge to protect them (plus it makes the tires look much more meaty with it)

I've had 615k's 3 times in a row and I really loved what they had to offer. They get a little noisy though once wearing down.
They do get a bit 'greasy' once the tires are really hot from being worked also.

Star Specs are next on my list to try now that they are really cheap for whatever reason in 16's.
