245's on a 7" wheel will look like crap and that's way too much
tire anyway, 225's will even hang off a 7" wheel.

I'm guessing the 225 in the front and the 235's in the rear.

My car is lowered with the bmp street package.
      They won't work. Period.

Umm...I run a 225 on my 8in wheel and 215s on my 7.5 in wides. You are just asking for trouble. 225 is about max on the front of an e30 without tons of fender rolling or flairs. In the rear I am about to stuff some 235s or 245s on the back of mine. I need more meat for the HP im putting out. Burnouts are lame.

i was thinking about going the 245/35/17 way...on a 7.5 wide wheel...It would be an upgrade to 215 40s...but will it fit? im rolling my fenders soon, you guys think itll be enough? my wheels offset is 40 and i have 20mm spacers...

It's been done, but the end result is a slightly unsupported sidewall. Steering response and transitional response suffer accordingly. You will also rub the fenders badly with ET20 7.5" wheels.

            A 215/40/17 Falken RT-615 would satisfy most.
