    es100s are about the widest street tires available, and they fit in a 225. It comes down to not just the actual tire size, but your wheels' offset too.

      No they're not. IIRC they are 9.2" wide, fairly average for a summer 225/50/15. There are wider out there, such as the S-03PP (9.3", which WILL rub the strut).

        jst for refrence, my car is lowered on 60/40mm weitec springs/shocks, when i ran 225/50/15(512's) last summer it never rubbed even when i blew the shock in the back with 2 people in the rear still never did.

          Yeah, ZE-512's run so narrow they rarely rub anything. A 225 Ziex is the same width as most other 215 tires.
