I got my 5mm "hubcentrics" from tunershop, very hard to find a hubcentric
        spacer that thin.

because it doesnt really matter. With spacers that thin the hub will stick out past the spacer in to the wheel anyway.

Ya, I don't see the point of getting 5mm spacers. That's only like a 1/4".

I'm running 8mm hubcentric H&R's with my Borbets, and I think that's the smallest any company makes hubcentric spacers (5mm).

I want to move out to 10mm, but I'll probably have to roll my fenders before I can do that, 2mm might be just that little bit too far.

I have 3mm spacers. If I didn't, the tires would rub the front strut housing.

                    So yeah, that's the point.

Point is when you run let's say, 16x9's et15 without spacers the wheels will contact the strut housings.

2002maniac, not so sure you're right, if you put 5mm non hubcentric spacers on it would make it flush and the wheel would have nothing to hang on.

I've been doing fine with stock lugs and 6mm spacers.

H&R "hubcentric" 5mm and 8mm is bullshit. The spacers cannot have hub lips, so they are not hubcentric on an E30 at all.

For 57mm in/out, 15mm is the minimum produced. This is why I either use 3mm spacers, or shoot for 15mm.

And Josh, aren't your wheels like ET35? Run 15mm spacers and be done with it, they will work fine.

so, offsets confuse me for the most part. whats the ideal for a 16X7. i dont even recall what the offset of the wheels currently is, but the rears sit in a little too far... appearance wise.

BTW: they are Fittipaldi 5 spokes by OZ [old school!]
