What do you think about a 16x8 Rota rb. ET20 it looks like. I'd like to see the widest tires I can fit on them. I'm cool with pulling the fenders a little bit to fit the widest possible. Any suggestions? I see 225/45r16 has been used before, can I go wider?
Thanks Jay!!Comment

car is sitting on Bilstein BTS springs and struts in these pictures.
Car is currently getting a C3Motorsports Coilover installation right now so here is a picture of the back with the control arm jacked up a bit.
225's are more friendly but since i struggled to find much 245 information I thought I'd post these up for you to help in your decision. Sorry if the pictures are too dark.-Josh

and to jack benny: assuming you have directional tread, your tires are on backwards unless you plan on driving in reverse all the time ;)Comment

the 245/45-16's in jackbenny's post have too large of a diameter. unfortunately there arent 245's with the proper diameter, and i have only found ONE tire that comes in a 245/35-16, which is slightly smaller (making your car slightly lower, making the speedo read higher). Those tires are the Toyo T1R. I currently have the 225/40-16 Toyo's on my 16x8's and they are great tires. once they wear out, I will be stepping it up to the 245's.

It is true that the diameter is incorrect. Luckily my speedometer doesn't work. But like you said, tire choices are limited.
Personally if i could do it over again, i would have gone 225's still just as beefy, but would fit a lot better.
That being said, i have some 17's on order that will allow me to step down to 235's and I think that might be the best compromise.-Josh

I have Konig remembers with 7" width. My fenders are rolled. I was looking at hancook rs-2 but I think i am going to go with the Khumo Ecsta XS in 215/45/16. Would that be good tire wise and fitment? The issue I am most worried about in this tire is tread wear.Comment

that size will fit fine. in terms of treadwear, that depends on your tire pressure, suspension setup, and the treadwear rating of the tires you buy.Comment

15x ET12 psi?
Mystical hi again,
I've got a strange question. I bought the 7X15 ET12 wheels for my E30_M40 and put 205/55/15 tyres. The tyre is Continental Premium Contact 2. My question is what pressure must have the tyre, (front and rear). The owners manual says the pressure in psi, but the offset of my wheel is different. I have BLINSTEIN SPRINT (yellow) and APEX springs 3cm lower.
I know that the question is a little strange, so if you don't know i don't mind. Thanks for your time anyway...

I'm shopping lips and bolts for my BBS RS's and wondering if I go:
-15x8 et12 and 15x8.5 et06
or
-15x8.5 et06 and 15x9 et00
Here's 15x8 et12 and 9x15 et03
I need your opinion.Last edited by Jim Lepage; 02-22-2009, 07:32 PM.E30S54 - Scale Suspension / Unix Performance Coilovers - 17x8 and 17x9 BBS E50Comment

15X8,5 ET10 in front and 15X9 ET00 in rear would be pretty fu**ing sweet. No doubt there !
I have a similar question, looking at buying 16X8,5 for front and 16X9,5 in the rear but wondering which offset to go for. Front would be ET10 or 15 but wondering what to do about the rears. My car is lowered 60/40 and it´s a Touring (if that even matters). I am a noob when it comes to buying wheels, that being said :) my goal is to avoid using spacers.
Has anyone here got a setup like the one I mentioned?Comment
