currently I rub quite a bit, mostly the actual fender when the wheel is turnt (for example, poppin up my driveway is a pain and i typically go slow as fuck...but its not really an option when i live on a semi-main road) i do plan on getting my fenders rolled, but im hoping some 16" wheels with the right tires will clear up the rubbing.

couple wheel options im looking at:

a.) are those the same silver as the ones listed here:

b.) what offset do i need? i read in another thread ET20, but one thing is that I do have 15mm spacers front and rear could i still use them with the ET20 offset?

i also like the LM reps on the jlb site, but they are offset ET35 but they are 7.5" width...are these a direct fit?

    and what about tires? 205/50s?
The first link is broken and the second one won't load for me at the moment. But I'm pretty sure you mean 16x7 +20 Maxxims.

You do want the +20 version. With 15mm spacers and 205/50 tires you would rub. If you want to use the spacers run 195/50 tires and roll the rear fenders a bit.

As for the LMs, you could use those with the 15mm spacers and run any tire you want (205/50, 215/45, 225/45). You could also run the same tires on the Remembers without the spacers, of course.

I plan to get a 15x7" wheel, probably cheaper ones like Rota or Drag.
What offset should i be looking for in combination with the widest tire i can fit?
I'd prefer not to roll the fenders. I'd like to go with Azenis or Khumo MX tires.

      ninja edit:
I don't give a crap about being flush or tire tuck. Think more race car aspirations, i just want crazy grip.
+25 is pretty much ideal for a 15x7. You can then mount a 225/45 or 225/50 without fender rolling.

BTW if you want performance stay away from the sponge-soft Eibachs.

I wouldn't personally run a spacer that large, although arguments exist on both sides of the safety debate. I just don't like the idea of using bolts/studs that are more than twice the length of stock.

        And thanks!

so how big of a spacer do I need to fill a stock early model running 8in wide 0 offset wheels? I could probably figure it out from there.

          thanks again.
It all depends on your definition of "fill". I'd suggest looking up pictures, maybe even from the link in my sig, to indicate what you think is full. I'd say 8" +5 front and +0 rear is just about flush on an early model, but it's truly subjective.

Thanks, I think I am going to go with the LMs...with the LMs would I NEED to run them with the spacers? Also, right now I have iX weaves which are 7" wide I think(with my 15mm spacers) so I imagine I would need to get different length bolts for the LMs, right?

As for tires, I am leaning towards 205/45, what would you personally run?

What wheel size/offset will it take (17" wheel) to fit 245's in the front and 255's in the rear? This is on a late model coupe. I'm thinking 17x8.5 in the front, and 17x10 in the rear but not sure what offsets I'd be looking at.

Also am willing to roll/pull the fenders, but no cutting.

The width of the tire is fine, but because it's almost an inch taller than stock you will likely rub on the inner fender above the actual arch (look inside, you'll see what I'm referring to). That isn't a place that's easy to mod, as anything you do to it will show on the outside.

Most guys running 245s on 16s are using 245/35/16, which is of course a full 2" shorter than your proposed setup.

Ok I understand what your saying. I did some research on the tires I have now and the ones Im going to buy and the over all diameter of the 245s is just under half an inch diffrence from the 225s I have now. From what I can see it should be fine but I will have to roll the fenders.

Yeah, you would need the spacers with the LMs. The bolts are suitable for any wheel.

I'd use a 205/50, 215/45, or 225/45. Undersized tires only look right if the car is absolutely on the ground.

245 is the limit. 17x8.5 +20 with a 245/35/17 is about perfect. A slight fender pull in the rear would be enough.

Do you think I can get away with a 17x9 in the front?

Also, any recommendation of what offset range for the 17x10 w/255 in the rear?

I pretty much gave you the most aggressive setup possible, given your bodywork limits.

                            Here's another offset/diameter calculator:

Its an exact copy of one i used to use on some other enthusiast site (miata or subaru i think)

Well i've found a wheel i like, the XXR 522, ala:

Except that 15x7 +25 will mean the spokes are pretty much flat, and i like the concave look. They have 15x8 +0, which would be very concave.
The back space doesn't change that much from stock..123mm to 114mm
Except with an 8" wide rim, i'll want a fatter tire, like 225 width (i'd say 235 but there's slim pickings there).

                              SO in summary:
                              wheel: 15x8 +0
                              tire: 225/50-15
                              Will it fit?

i think i'm in more danger of hitting the fender lip than the struts, but i have no idea.
                              Thanks for the replies Mystikal.
