Hey guys. Newbie here. I searched the thread and didn't come up with my answer, so I'll ask. What's the biggest overall tire I can run on the stock 14x6.5 basketweaves? I have an 84 325e and the stock 195/60r14s don't come close to filling the wheel wells. I'd like to have as much ground clearance as possible instead of lowering.
Could I run 195/70 or 75 14s or maybe 205/70r14?

195/70 should just clear. 205/70 would likely contact the wheel well during turns.

I got my style 5's filled and redrilled, running 205/45/16 in the front and 205/50/16 in the rear. I got a great deal on the rear wheels that I couldn't pass up. For some reason the 5mm spacers I got for the front did not clear my brake carriers, so I am getting 8mm spacers for the front and 10mm spacers for the rear. Both front and rear fenders will be receiving a mild-medium roll.

My question is about what length stud kit I can run and still be able to use the style 5 caps.

55mm is sufficient. 60mm should work also.

Quick question about ordering up some Enkei 92s. Apart from the wheels themselves, what else am I going to need to order? Will I need spacers up front?

Not sure if they need more spacing for caliper clearance or tuner lugs (doubt it), maybe search the forum and ask owners of that wheel.

Thanks for the response. Just wondering if anyone has tried 205/70r14 or not and what problems they had. I don't mind a bit of rubbing as long as it's only under hard cornering and braking etc.

Would 17x8.5 offset 40 wheels fit on an E30 with a 5-lug conversion from an E30 M3? If so, what size tires would be recommended?

Tires are too big, and you "need" spacers for proper fitment. 215/40/17 rubber and 15mm spacers all around. No fender rolling needed.

What can i do in order to get by with my current 225/45 tires?

You're not stretching anything on a 7", so why not just go 225/50/15 and enjoy the manly tire look and performance? Just an idea. Otherwise stick to 205/55, and no spacers are necessary.

No, you're looking at 20mm spacers to clear the struts safely. 215/40/17 with rolled rear fenders.

Nothing, they're an inch too tall for an E30.

Does anyone know if the BBS Euroweave wheel 7 X 15 4 X 100 ET24 will fit on the 325IX which has a BBS 15" wheel with ET41 offset?

87 vert, stock. Want to go 15x8 et 25 and 205/55/15 to keep diameter same instead of 205/50/15, will this work without spacers? Is 225/50/15 too big? Thx!

I have some gti/Cabriolet 14x6 Snowflakes that are et38 and want to know if I can run them without many issues. I know the offset is 3mm more to the inside of the tire and as it sits there is only about half of an inch difference. Also what do I do about the conical vs. tapered lugs. The e30 has tapered and the VW wheels are conical so can I use the vw lugs on the e30?
