Alright here it goes... getting tires for my bday on the 23rd. I just copped a set of 17x8 and 17x9 staggered style 5's filled and redrilled to 4x100. My '89 325is is on H&R sports with koni adjustables. I want a little stretch, nothing to compromise the integrity of the tire though. Equi-stretch on front and back and no rub is what I'm shooting for. And I want the most tire I can fit under the fenders (planning on rolling them). Any suggestions? I've heard 205/40 and 225/35 would make it equi-stretched... what you guys think? Any help is muuuuch appreciated.

Edit: decided on 205/40 and either 225/35 or 215/40. I'd prefer the 225 but the new falken azenis isn't offered in that size. Any other suggestions on a good quality tire?

        Jay,

I planned on buying a set of 16x7 et25 and running 225/45s but, A) tire selection sucks and B) the wheel offset was mis-labeled and they are et20.

Late model arches with H&R Sport/Bilstien Sport

        Question: 16x7 et20; should I run 205/45s? What's the best size?

          Hi there,

I am about to fit a 5 lug setup on my e30 with e36 M3 front and 318ti rear with bilstein sports and H&R sport springs.

I already have some wheels that I'd really like to fit, but want confirmation I will actually be able to. Specs are: front - 17x7.5 et17 with 205/40 tyres. Rear - 17x8.5 et20 with 215/40 tyres.

I am quite prepared to roll the guards with a mild pull but would hate to do that and find I still can't fit them.. Can I do it??

            EDIT:

15x8 205/50/15. what would be the lowest offset i could do? before rubbing on hard cornering (track use). (i wouldnt mind rolling the rear a bit)

Hey guys. Newbie here. I searched the thread and didn't come up with my answer, so I'll ask. What's the biggest overall tire I can run on the stock 14x6.5 basketweaves? I have an 84 325e and the stock 195/60r14s don't come close to filling the wheel wells. I'd like to have as much ground clearance as possible instead of lowering.
              Could I run 195/70 or 75 14s or maybe 205/70r14?

              Thanks

              Tony

I got my style 5's filled and redrilled, running 205/45/16 in the front and 205/50/16 in the rear. I got a great deal on the rear wheels that I couldn't pass up. For some reason the 5mm spacers I got for the front did not clear my brake carriers, so I am getting 8mm spacers for the front and 10mm spacers for the rear. Both front and rear fenders will be receiving a mild-medium roll.

My question is about what length stud kit I can run and still be able to use the style 5 caps.

Quick question about ordering up some Enkei 92s. Apart from the wheels themselves, what else am I going to need to order? Will I need spacers up front?

blck325is- 75mm, they are good up to a 10mm spacer.

Looking at picking up some 17x8 wheels, just wondering what offset/tyre size would work best for a nice flush fit, maybe a little stretch, minimal guard work (rolling is ok).

                      TIA
Ideal? +20 front +15 rear. 205/40 tires. Rolled rear arches.

                        Still same spacers of 10/15mm?

                        16x7.5 et30. Flush. JOM coils.
                        Yup!

Tires are too big, and you "need" spacers for proper fitment. 215/40/17 rubber and 15mm spacers all around. No fender rolling needed.

I'd suggest 195/45 and 215/40, both Yokohama S.drive. Equal stretch, equal diameter, great tire.

You can still run the 225s, for whatever reason 225 width tires are narrower in 16" than any other diameter and across every manufacturer.

Otherwise, 205/50 and 215/45 are closer to ideal.

+15 with a flat rear roll. +20 if you have awesome paint and don't want to roll too aggressively.
