he was (is) running a 235/40R17 all round, so a 215/45R17 would certainly give you a little more room to play with.
Just a little project im working on

Would it be possible to run anything wider with style 5s and adapters?

        I have some 245/35 and 215/40

I wish I had few extra tires to find the perfect ones before I buy a new set, have you guys ever seen 215/45r17 on a mtech II ? If not I'll just buy one for now and see if it works

i want to get these esm 002's in 16". i have an iX, would it be possible to to run 16x7.5 with a 20mm offset in the front or would it have to be the 35mm offset, i want them to be flush. and for the back can i run a 16x9 with the 20 mm offset or would i also have to run the 16x7.5 in the back too? if so, 35mm or 20mm offset? thanks!

The wheels are 8.5 in front and 9.5" rear in width and are 16" wheels.

What section tire can I use without too much stretch or too thick of a wall? I'm having trouble using the size conversion. For example, 195/40/16 on front but what size do I use in the rear since the wheel is an inch wider and I'd like to keep the same sized sidewall?
Use a tire size or wheel fitment calculator (google it) to match diameters. I'd probably blidnly suggest 205/45 F 225/40 R but your offsets would have to be ideal to pull that off.

The car is currently on bottlecaps with spacers on the front and they barely clean (cant fit a finger bw the tire and strut). I was told they were 15mm but I could be wrong.

So my question, the car previously had 16x9 et15 wheels on there and they were from (per the po), and I am looking at a 16x8 wheel with a 0 et option and a 20 et option. Knowing that I will HAVE to run a spacer on my car because of the coilover clearance, what kind of et, if any, would I have to look for when buying wheels that would be give me a flush look. The fenders upfront are rolled and the rears are rolled and pulled if that helps. Thanks for any help :)
Either 16x8 version will clear your KWs. For best fitment you would probably go for the +20 version with a 10-12mm spacer in the rear. 205/45 tires.

For a seriously flush look you will need wider wheels though. The previous 16x9 setup for example.

You'll want large spacers in the rear, 30mm bolt-on (hub extender) spacers are a good start. 265/30/19 is a good size for the rear, are you using these up front also? If so 225/35 is about the limit without fender liner cutting.

Probably not. 205/40 already requires rolling and suitable suspension.

                        215/40 is the correct size.

If you want flush, go for the staggered 7.5/9 with +20 all around. 205/45 tires and a bit of added fender clearance under the iX arches.

How about 16" style 5s, et23. I want flush and I will be rolling the fenders. What size adapters to accomplish this? Thank you.
