you know i was wondering if i could run 245s or not. im going to run fender flares so i can run 245s on my et0 wheels. is this being un realistic or do you think this can be done? out back should be no prob but what about the front? i really just want crazy grip,a ridiculously aggressive stance and i plan to be running 200wheel by mid summer time

If you want to switch to a setup maximized for grip the easiest way, the first thing you have to do it ditch the et0 wheels. If you want to stick with a wide 16" setup, you need 245/45R16s mounted on a 16x8 with ~et15 maybe as high as 20 and very nicely rolled fenders. You don't need flares to do it.

Aside from that, you can make anything fit. Some big flares, 245/45R16's on your et0's, very stiff suspension, and probably some modification to the front wheel well for turning clearance will also get you what you want.

i like my wheels so im going to stay with et0. i recently had something hit my rear fender lip and make a decent sized mark/dent. so i figured why not run some flares. always liked the look/clearance you gain. i think im going to stay with 225s maybe run 245s in back and run either hankook rs2 or some r-compounds of some sort. i love the abnormally wide low stance so thats what im going for. i already have stiff suspension. GC 440f/625r so thats no problem. the car is no longer my daily so i can do whatever i want with it.:twisted:

        btw. whats your wheel/tire setup?

I also like your wheels, especially for those prices, which is why I said it wouldn't be a problem to put some meatier tires on them along with some flares.

I'm not into the stretching scene but yours are just a little stretched and look nice and aggressive. I like your look but can't afford to waste the space. I need as much rubber as possible while still having absolutely no rubbing.

I run 17x8.5 et20 front, et15 rear with 235/40R17's. I'm switching to 245/35R17 on my 8.5's and the 235's are being tossed onto 17x8 track wheels to get used up, which will then be replaced by 615's or RS2's in 235/40 also.

thats not how that works. you need "stickier" tires, not wider.

                  T1r, like 225-240ish?

I was considering these when they first came out (just a few months ago) but decided the sidewall was too small for just my DD

                      T1-R

On sale for $133 at edgeracing!

I think they might look a little balloonish on 8's though. Especially with the very low profile.

I'm starting to wish my 15x8 rotas were 16x8.5 :(
