id still really like to see a 245 on the rear. that shit would look badass... anyone know of any pics floating around with it? i think alex runs that, but he has super pulled fenders. i think i will sort of give appearance a bit more favor over driveability, just a little.

They only offer 205/50/15.

Hankook makes 225/50/15 and 225/45/15 for the R-S2. For the 16 crowd, 225/45/16. They should be getting E30 money.

I looked at the specs for the RT-615 and the 215/45/16 has almost a full inch more tread width than my Yokohama AVS ES100 225/50/16s. Needless to say, I will be getting RT-615s in that size when my Rotas arrive.

Also, in regards to replacing tire every 3 months, it's not likely... Even if you drive it daily. My ES100s have a 12 to 15,000 mile life expectancy with a tread wear of 280. I have had them on the car for over 11,000 miles now and I have still have about 70% tread left, so it really does depend on how you drive. The RT-615's tread wear is 200, so even for a daily driver, if you didn't abuse the tires, you probably would only replace them once a year.

I'm not saying I recommend buying the stickiest tire with a 200 tread wear rating for a daily driver, but for a car that is occasionally driven on the street and mostly used for "pleasure" driving, I'd get something a bit more radical than an all season Dunlop piece of shit with a tread wear rating of 400...

Still, for a street car, I'd lean towards a wider tire with more life expectancy anyhow.
