Kopis getting refresh...

so i decided to repaint my Kopis since they are rashed up and paint is fading, heres my story:

1.first i washed them and scrubbed them with a kitchen scrubber sponge and wheel cleaner.
2. sanded the lips with 100+200 grit sandpaper to take out rash on lips:

3. sanded the rest of the face with 300grit+400 grit just to scuff it up:

4.wiped the wheel faces down with acetone.
5.spray first 2 coats of Duplicolor Engine Enamel Low Gloss Black:


6.sprayed 3+4 coats 10 min between each coat per manuf directions, heres the final product, they arent dry yet though:



TA-DA!! im back-to-black baby. im really diggin it, new look for Bfest.:drink:

you know...i was thinking about gunmetal, BUT my e30 is gunmetal, and if the color wasnt exactly the same, i would have hated it. i already know i like black wheels though:p

wow those are really clean. im not a big fan of these wheels but black makes them a whole lot more appealing.

Wow, those came out really good from what I can see. You should
experiment with one and try to do bmw's chrome shadow by
spraying a light coat of silver down over the black.

i think they came out pretty good. only buckskin colored wheel weight you will see.
