My 225/45 r16 RS2s are just barely enough tire for my turbo motor. It will break traction when you want, but it sticks enough so its not scary in the dry. Wet on the other hand... yea...:: PNW Crew ::

yeah, thats what i get for wanting to tear down the entire motor and practically rebuild it. i dont wanna have to open up the motor AT ALL once its in. its getting new valve guides, rings, EVERY gasket, every hose, and whatever else turns up upon closer inspection...IG: @Baye30

staggered DS2's..
no rubbing in the front at all, and the rears are getting the slightest bit... gotta roll the rears asap...Originally posted by HollandThere should be a restraining order to keep kids 100 feet from that car at all times. Sorry to drag this back from the dead but I was wondering if any of you guys running this staggered setup are/have experienced any untolerable understeer with it? I have heard from several people that the staggered setup will have terrible understeer. I was planning on running staggered DS2's with 215/40(front 17x.5) and 235/40(rear 17x8.5) and thought since I am running top adjustable konis(F & R) that I might be able to tune the understeer out of the car with them and can even play with tire pressures if needed to diminish the understeer as much as possible. Any suggestions would be appreciated greatly. TIALast edited by atomic; 01-27-2008, 04:28 PM.Comment

Well, the only staggered setup I've played around with was ZiMMie's car, with has 17x8.5 205/40/17 front and 17x10 225/40/17 rear. That was for a little drift exhibition, and it was more than happy keeping sideways (GC coilovers). I honestly didn't see any problems with handling balance, you just have to adjust your driving style slightly (avoid overloading the front tires).

235/40/17. tons of tire choice. if you even consider trying to fit a 245, then you can fit a 235 no problem.Comment
