Eh, those who aim for forum bragging rights need real priorities.

I had 17" RS replicas that made me a hero or something. I sold them within a few months (because they were worth so much), and chose wheels that don't get nearly as many stares but they fit the car's image to ME (which is what is important IMO). They're still not that common, but even if they were I could care less.

Buy whatever makes you happy, and don't pay attention to popularity.

So trade your Rz's in for some Ronals...

Btw, I think your current wheels look much much better than the Rs reps, they looked tall and skinny, 225/50/15's are all business.

I would consider one of these as they are cheaper and wont rob acceleration from your car. Bimmerworld.com has them.

As for tires, I was a bit dissapionted in BFG KDW's (but that was the old tread pattern) very spendy and not any better performance than cheaper tires. Falken Azenis (again, the old tread pattern, but I heard the new is very similar) was the fastest street tire I have owned (in the dry...scary when wet), even faster than many R compounds in autocross conditions. But they dont last all that long. I just corded a set of Kuhmo MX tires after 20,000+ miles, and that even included 1 track day and 3 autocrosses on them. Not quite as fast as Azenis but they had plenty of grip, a good stiff sidewall, did reasonably well when it rained, and lasted longer. Not the cheapest tires, but not the most expensive either. I just bought a set of Yokohama's Parada Spec 2 tires in a 215/40/17 for the K1's and I have barely scrubbed the mold release of of them so I don't really have any immpresions of them yet except that the price is not bad at $84 per tire and the 300 treadwear will likely allow for longer life.
those 17" K1's are the shiznite. i would love a set for my e30. trade for my Kopis? hehe

I prefer the RZ's bowl weave, and stepped lip. Ironic, because most people prefer the Ronal's flat face and bold square shoulders.

And thanks for the compliment. I blame some of the skinnyness on the damn ZE-512's, I should have just thrown some 235's on them.

I prefer stepped lips over straight and the Rz's seem to have a tighter
              weave than the Ronals.

While the Kopi's do look fantastic on these cars, not many people realize that they're made like absolute SHIT and will bend very, very easily.
