Because I'm bored and can't sleep, I'll revive this thread.
Kumho ecsta ast, from my experience, these babies almost killed me. Bought them brand new and with the camber I'm running, it felt like the sidewalls were made of rubberbands, the tires on the right side pulled the car to the left and the ones on the left pulled the car constantly to the right making straight line driving a challenge of epic proportions. As if the car had beer goggles on. I have never experienced ANYTHING like it on any other car, no matter how shitty the tires were. I replaced them with bridestone potenzas and it was a night and day difference. The potenzas are a dream to drive on.
The SHITTIEST tires ever...

I put some Sumitomos on the back of my Alfa before I sold it... What a waste of rubber. In their defense though, the car had 205/50/15 Bridgestone S03 PPs on the front and the 225/50/15 Sumitomos out back... They were soft as hell, granted, the speed rating was totally different, and the S03 is one of the greatest high performance tires ever created, but I was still pissed.
After the 3.0 swap my Alfa could burn rubber all the way through first without dropping the clutch, and about half way through second if I played my cards right :pimp:Leave a comment:

I have a set on 3 of the 4 e30s I own. For the price, they are hard to beat. I have no complaints. I will be buying another set soon... may opt for the newer 912's though.Leave a comment:

I had bridgestone re950's and they were the best tires I've ever had. Great in wet and dry, lasted a long time, and were great to drive on up until the last day I had them. If those fuzion's are h rated they might be a good deal.Anyone have experience with Fuzion Hri tires? I know that they are a subsidiary of Bridgestone. I can get stock size (195/60-14) tires out the door for less than $160 for all four. My daughters E30 will need some tires
and for this price I can't pass them up unless I hear that they are crappy tires.

2 pages and nobody said "Nitto" yet? Never had Zeix, but Nitto 550's are a horrible tire in the dry, and they only get worse in the wet.Leave a comment:

Alright. Be it what it is, Darkwing6 and I both had the Ziex in 195's and both had horrible experiences with them and despise the tire. Did we both get a bad run with them? We're far from terrible drivers. If you're comparing the falken to a kumho, then fuck, of course its going to be 'better' but thats subjective. I would not reccomend the falken ziex to anyone in the PNW, maybe down in cali where its sunny all day, but I could have sworn there was a study posted here awhile back that shows the falken ziex tire loses traction as it warms up, i'll dig it up.Great tires, if only they lasted longer.
Kruzen doesn't seem to know what he's talking about, these tires are known to have more lateral grip, Mystikal claims more than his current RS-2s. Yes they have soft sidewalls, but they still have great grip.
If you did have 225s, they do hyroplane i've heard pretty easy when they get about half life, but i've had 205s and haven't had a problem.Leave a comment:

Yeah i probably just got a tire with a defect. Im not blaming anything on the tires. I was just pissed that the tire was fucked up. Heat of the moment. But i am definately getting some new ones.Leave a comment:

Guys, seriously check the ratings on Generals UHP tires. I have had them on for about 8 months, running 215/40/17. I am far more impressed with these than any other cheap tire I have tried, including the 711, the 512 and (especially) the ES100s.
Continental bought General. The guy who said the 2000 was a POS is absolutely right...but these UHPs rock.

it costs me more money to get my balls professionally cleaned than it is to buy those tires.Anyone have experience with Fuzion Hri tires? I know that they are a subsidiary of Bridgestone. Kumho 711's were horrid.
Pics of your blow out. Either you ran it too low or it had an impact break. tires tend not to blow out for no reason.Leave a comment:
