        I had the same decision to make a short while ago. Although the selection of wheels is far greater with the 5-bolt setup, I stuck with the 4-bolt and a got a set of 17 x 7.5 (direct fit) Alpina replicas from Abrahams Motorsport. Here's why;

        If I spend that much money, I'm going to want to keep the wheels if I sell the car, so I could simply put the 14" basketweaves back on with their current tires to sell it. If I do sell my E30 it will only be to get a different E30 anyways.

        If you go for the 5-bolt conversion and spend mega-bucks on new wheels, you are sure to want to keep them if you sell the car, in which case you would need to get a second set of 5-bolt wheels / tires so you can sell the car.

        Also, if you want to run winter wheels, guess what - you need to get another set of 5-bolt wheels, whereas you could just use your original bottlecaps. It all get kinda' expensive and you'll find your $2500 disappears in no time. My wheels and tires ended up costing $2k.

        All depends on what look you want and what you plan to do with the car. You could argue both sides, but sticking with the 4-bolt worked for me.

        Good luck - post some pictures when you decide.

          your alpina kopis with tires cost you 2k? ouch
          My e30 is strictly my summer car. I do switch up wheels quite often, I've only been driving my e30 for one summer now and I've gone through 3 sets of wheels already, each becoming bigger and better as I sell em. started with bottle caps, then to weaves, then to keskin kt4's now on to 17x10s, who knows whats next, but I know I'll hold on to these for a while now. Also the fact that my turbo build is coming to an end and I'm sure ill be needing a larger footprint out back has heavily weighed my options of wheels(17x10).

          for the price, the kt1s are really nice, with tires shipped from tunershop 2200can is a great deal, and ill most likely jump on it. so now, post pics of keskin kt1's in 17x10 format. only one i've seen is zimmie's car.

            Agreed, the shipping to Canada, plus duty made this a fairly pricey deal. I also did a lot of research on tires and settled on Yoko Avid H4S 215/40's. The only other direct fit wheels I liked were the TSW Kyalami, but everyone and their dog has that look these days. TSW Sakatas are nice, but didn't want to mess with spacers. I'm being very careful not to do anything to this car that can't easily be undone (i.e. rolling fenders).

            Can't wait 'till Spring when they get their first run.

              I actually have those wheels. DZ Exklusiv 16x9, you can buy them from Tunershop. I only ever see them on VW's. I just made a different centercap, because I thought the original looked cheap. Actually the main reason I bought them is cause... I couldn't afford WRD mesh at time!!

              I'm actually considering moving on to 17's with sideskirts, MTII rear valance, and white Rieger lip...

                  i knida like the keskin kt4's. Considering 7.5" fronts so i can put a BBK and 9" out back with 225/45/16's all the way around but i have not seen these on any cars yet.
