    How to clean BBS weaves?

What is the best way to clean up a set of weaves that were painted black?

Are you talking just to clean them, or to strip the black paint off of them?

You can have any paint place mix up BMW silver wheel paint. Its at least in the DuPont computers.

See if you can get in touch with trent if you are trying to get the exact color. He found a Honda paint that is damn near an identical match. You'll have a tough time matching the metal flake used in BBS wheels, but I believe that Honda paint is damn close.

After you have them media blasted and do any repairs(if needed) then you prime, paint and clearcoat.

You can rattle can them with wurth wheel paint. Then rattle can clear coat with a clear gloss lacquer. Do several coats of each and for a pro job wet sand with 1500 wet/dry paper between coats or primer/paint/clear.

Here is a link to the wurth wheel paint http://classic-motoring.stores.yahoo.net/wusiwhpa.html

And is a identical match to all oem german silver wheel paints as you will read from the article.

BBS silver is not the same as BMW silver.

I mean, if you are doing all the wheels the same color and it's not a show car, I'm sure you'll be fine, but if you want the finish of the BBS paint, it's not gonna happen with Wurth, from what I understand.

Too be honest I bought the cheapest rattle cans on earth $1 spray cans at walmart primer base and clear. Washed the wheels as best I could and painted them. The only way I could tell the difference is if you put a clean stock weave next to them to compare.
