Nicest deep-dished rims?

What are the nicest deep-dish rims on the E30 in your opinion? I've only heard of a few brands, so I don't know all of them... preferably 16" or so?

Most dish I've seen on a non "euro" rim were either ronals or the Mini Hamanns (IIRC). jweb just got some. Check out the thread.

BBS makes some bitchin' deep dish 3-piece weaves. I'm sure some of the vee-dub guys on here can direct you to the guy on the vortex who is selling them refurbed.

By any chance, are these the ones you were referring to? These are the BBS LM's. For deep dish like these, would 17" be ugly? Idealy, I wanted 16" I think, but the smallest they come are 17". How would it look on an E30?

Polished BBS Rs with a modified (extended) lip ???

Those are awesome, I think the VW guys will know more details about the BBS RS and other 4x100 deep dish rims.

EIther way, the set of those rims would be $$$$$. Rebuilt/refurbished BBS RS's i think would cost more than $2000 canadian.

Why do forged rims always have an area in the middle around the wheel where it is raised? Does it have something to do with holding more air for a softer ride or something?

I only ask because mine have this and since my wheels are actually a FWD offset, I have this raised part in the middle that I hate. Water gets trapped between that hump and where the spokes were welded in. Sometimes I'll leave my house with a little water caught in there, and I'll drive like 2 miles and the water just stays in there from the centrifugal force. :curse:

Rebuild Rm's. Its cheaper.
