    9x16 brock b1s...

deep dish...silver painted...or polished lip if you like the
bling bling...at $257 each shipped you could buy an entire
set for the price of one of those BBS rims...i going to go
out of a limb and claim that these are the cheapest deep
    dish that you can buy...

call steve at tunershop.com for 3 day express shipment
from germany...no shipping and no tax...but a customs
duty of about $8 per wheel...

                those borbets are 8x17 and 9.5x17--not 16...and you'd
have to do a 5 lug conversion...

I only ask because mine have this and since my wheels are actually a FWD offset, I have this raised part in the middle that I hate. Water gets trapped between that hump and where the spokes were welded in. Sometimes I'll leave my house with a little water caught in there, and I'll drive like 2 miles and the water just stays in there from the centrifugal force. :curse:
i believe it has to do with adding strength. Take a flat piece of aluminum and add a ridge bend and it doesn't flex nearly as much as it did flat.

Polished BBS Rs with a modified (extended) lip ???

Those are awesome, I think the VW guys will know more details about the BBS RS and other 4x100 deep dish rims.

EIther way, the set of those rims would be $$$$$. Rebuilt/refurbished BBS RS's i think would cost more than $2000 canadian.
                    Rebuild Rm's. Its cheaper.
do you know a good place to find them for cheap?

so your friends and the tire store can take the tires off of the wheels.... it is called the drop center, when you pry 1 side of the bead of the tire off the wheel the oposite side sinks down into that area and allows the tire to be removed from the rim.....

some wheels have it on both sides and some have it on just the back (reverse mount).....
it would also add strenght to the wheel tho

roll your fenders and run 10mm spacers for the et15 wheels and you should
have any until you turn full lock--and then you might get a bit of rub on the
                              wheel well liner...

l know that the Brock B1s require reverse mounting with the wheel facing
down on the mounting machine...it's the only way that you can get the tire on...
