    Pic request: E30 with 17" Brock B1's

Ok so i am in the process of buying some Brock B1's and am so confused if i should get 16 or 17's. I found plenty of pictures of e30's with 16" brock's, but none with 17's. Please post a pic if u got one.

    Right now i am leaning towards 4 - 17x8.5's

    second option would be 2 - 16x7.5, 2 - 16x9

    thanks!

17x8.5 is going to be a pretty tight fit. You should run like 245/35R17's on those... which really isn't going to happen on a e30.

215/40 would be way too narrow, and any 45 series would be way too tall.

let him do what he wants.... if you really want them yo fit you can make them fit.... it may require cutting and welding, or rolling the fenders, and there would be the posibility that you would have to repaint because of cracks.

235/40-17 would fit with stiff springs, lots of fender rolling, and some modifications to your fender liners. But it would be tight, very tight.

If you pulled it off it would look sick.

                Gee that sounds familiar...

I'm gonna say you'd be better off with another wheel. The 17" B1's have a 15mm offset which is beyond dangerously low for a 8.5 inch wheel. You may have to try euro-style pulled fenders and stiff ass springs. If you want to meet up, I'll show you what you'll be working with trying to get those wheels to fit. I currently run 17x8.5s with 235/40R17s.

nono, wasnt suppose to sound negative. i thought it was just hilarious because i've said those exact words (from first hand experience) 5 dozen times over the past 6 months and no one ever acknowleged it, so I laughed when i saw your post.

                      Ohhh, alright, its cool man.

Yeah, I know you're the guy who has that size, props to you for squeezing them on there. Skinny tires suck.

I want to do 235's up front and maybe 255's in back after I finish my M50 swap.

i've decided to go with 16" with 215-40 tires. I dont want to deal with too much rubbing and having to roll my fenders. i also decided to go with different rims 8)

You do know that those tires are way undersized and will looked really queer, right?
                          For 16" you want 205/50 or 225/45.

well the company only offers 215-40 or 215-35. What do oyu mean they will look queer? Can you demonstrate with a pic comparison or something?

i'll talk to the guy and see if he can get 215-45 or should i ask him for 215-50?

215/45 is too small, 215/50 is too big. 225/4 is your best bet for a 16x7.5" wheel.

if you want lots of fender gap and tires that look way too small, get undersized tires. if you want to rub your fenders or strut, get tires that are too big. factory E30 sizes are 195/65-14 and 205/55-15, you can compare to aftermarket sizes here:
