Kosei K1's or Team Dynamic Race 1.2?

My BBS RY's (17x8 et40) won't fit with Lee's BBK, so I am investigating other options.

Given an option between Kosei K1's (17x8.5) or Team Dynamic Race 1.2 (17x8.0) what would you choose and why? I plan on running a 235-40-17 tire.

Depends on what you are going to use the car for, unless this is just a which looks better question.

In that case TD hands down.

The car is essentially a track toy.

The K1 are on special at Tire Rack. Tough and light wheels. They will be easy to find replacements down the road. They are et40 and will require spacers.

The TD are a bit pricier, direct fit (no spacer) but heavier.

Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

For looks and performance qualities, I would go for the K1's. I'm not a fan of the team dynamics because I've had them before and they were horribly heavy. I had the 17x7.5 in gun metal. Another problem was that they don't hold up at all. When I crashed the car I had with those wheels, they practically decentigrated on impact.

So if you were to get them for track duty, I'd hope there are no hard barriers.

Go with the K1's, you won't be disappointed.

Looks are always subjective so I won't touch that. For performance, the K1's are far superior. I've sold a ton of these, never a single complaint or problem ever.

            Cheers.

Do they have the K1's in a 17 x 8? I'm trying to find a good STX wheel?

              Sorry for the OT.

I suppose this is for the wheel fitment thread, but will 235-40's on an 17x8.5 K1 (et40) along 18mm spacers fit with fender rolling?

Also to consider, when I was talking to Mystikal about 17 x 8 for that size tire, he said I should be shooting for ET 28 and that would fit with a minor roll.

They would work better with a 12mm spacer. With the 18mm, your fenders will not survive.
