    Ventus or Azenis?

I'm going to need new tires in a month or so and I'm wondering you guys like for between these two? I've heard good things about both and I'd like to run the widest, cheapest tire I can. I can get the Hankooks in a 225 and the Azenis are available in 215 but I've heard they measure wide. Just like to hear some impressions of these.

Rs2 is a better tire in the rain hands down. The 615 has a vinyl reinforced sidewall so it is stiffer. Its nice because the sidewall does not roll over as easy as the rs2. Therefore giving you a wider psi range to go with @ the track. Regardless you can run whatever psi you desire on either tire.

They say the rs2 is faster around the track than the 615 on the tests they did using some scion tcs and chevy cobalts.

    My choice.

rs2 if your going to be driving the car on the street. Huge water channels good grip and ok life.

615 if your more of the weekend racer that only drives their car to and from events.

    Your choice.

      I like what he said.

But RT-615s kick the R-S2s ass at auto-x, according back to back comparisons in GRM.

I've had both, and prefer the RT-615. By a lot.

I don't know who did that test but everything I have seen says the Falkens are better.

I run the falkens and love them they feel great on the track and I've also never had a problem in the rain with them.

personally, I'd go with the azenis. I had the old ones in 195/60-14 and they were one of my favorite tires. of course I got them after I had a set of ES100s so my opinion may have been slightly biased :p

Cool, thanks for the info! They'll be going on some SSRs I picked up over the winter and I'm a little worried about traction because of a slight change in power output that's happening to my car in the next week or so... ;)

If it's power you want to put down, avoid the Hankooks. They have huge void area and lack straight line grip (acceleration or braking).

The 215 azenis were a way better tire.

I read both of the articles GRM's and i saw the test from the guys @ edgeracing.com

In the end its up to you. I like the rs2 for all around. I almost always though do a 615 @ the track though.

Well my car will suddenly be gaining about %45 more hp with shorter gearing so traction is my main concern now I guess. I suppose Azenis it will be!
