Latest new I received (the day after I cancelled my order):

I am sending this email to all D-Force wheel customers with orders pending. In the past several months, we have given out several different ship dates for wheels on backorder based on what the manufacturer had told us. Last week, after another failed delivery date, I had a fairly intense conversation with the importer of these wheels to find out what the problem is. Yesterday, I finally got to the root of the problem, which is both good and bad.

Apparently the person handling the transaction at the manufacturer's end had been taking the orders, taking the pre-payment, but never following through with what I would consider the critical part - getting the wheels made! Now that we finally know what is going on, we have solved the problem and that person is no longer there, and our wheels are being made.

The 15x7 wheels are in production now, will be finished by the end of August, will be leaving the first week of September (confirmed with the shipping logistics company), and will arrive end of September for us to ship. These dates are what the factory has given us and are the real dates, minus a little room for the uncertainty of customs clearance and handling upon their arrival in the US.

I also have currently in stock the Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 (15 pounds, about $140). Additionally we ordered a new Team Dynamics 15x7 weighing in at about 13# as well called a Pro Race 1.3 that is a fully heat-treated wheel and will be super strong and close to the D-Force price. The Pro Race 1.3 were ordered (luckily as things turn out) a couple of months ago and will be receiving them roughly the end of August (this month).

If anyone wants to cancel the D-Force, please let us know - you have not been charged for them. We can also transfer your order to either Team Dynamics wheel. I will let everyone know when the Pro Race 1.3 wheels arrive so you can save the decision for that time as well.

I am very sorry to have to share this news. We have had no problems in the past with this manufacturer and I don't think we will in the future now that the problem has been addressed. I took their estimates of ship times as accurate and passed them along to you. Believe me, this is not the standard we work with at BimmerWorld and no one is as upset as me with $50,000 pre-paid into the project.

Please let us know if we need to cancel or change your order - otherwise we will all wait together.

I heard a few months ago about the Pro Race 1.3 and wonder how it looks and what are the benefits. The Pro race 1.0 was great, the 1.2 a notch below. Now I have hopes that the 1.3 is a better and lighter wheel.

So, are the 15x7s still going to be $100 or so per wheel and will be in production/sale soon or? I was thinking about buying rota slipstream 15x7.5 but I do like the d-force 15x7 as well.
