The centers have been painted with a rattle can and if you look closely, you'll see the paint job is not great. Therefore, it means the wheels must be taken apart and refinished.

Ah, thanks, sorry I'm looking at it on my phone so I couldn't see too many hi-res shots.
Honesly, the "Junior Line" pic is brand new to me... I've seen quite a few people asking about these rims on different forums, and all anyone can come up with is "RZ" or "RJ". So, now I at least know what the hell to say when someone asks me what kind of BBS's I have! haha!
What is the difference between how basketweave/euroweave centercaps/waffles attach to the wheel versus how BBS RZ and RG centercaps/waffles attach.
I have a set of 15" BBS RGs and a set of 14" basketweave centercaps/waffles. The diameter matches but there is no way to secure the centercaps to the RG wheels.
Here is a pic of the the RGs with on of the basketweave centercap in place. The diameter is right, but the locking mechanism is different, it can't be secured.
So I need to find a way to secure them. Can I keep the waffles and just change the center pieces to RG-specific?
This is a great thread. Given that this is all things BBS I wanted to post my BBS Lorinser wheels
* Model: BBS for Lorinser. I guess they are an RS variation, they are 34 hole. * Height/Width/Offset: 16x8 ET11 * Purchased from: VW Vortex Forum * Plans: Make a staggered set (Just bought new lips to take the rears to 16x9...) Refurbish everything. (They are currently chromed. Deciding whether to rechrome or take em down and polish them. Also need to decide whether to paint the centers body color. Also, I suppose if I dont paint the centers I could go with black bolts... The possibilities are endless.... :nice: ) * Refurbishment/Polishing Methods: TBD
Missing one half-height large thread hex nut and the flat center ring (BBS Part Number 09.24.116 If anyone has either of these please let me know!!
Thanks. And again, great thread, great wheels, great cars!!!
