how much negative camber do you run? I still have plenty of room with a 225/45/15 hoosier (a bit wider than the kooks) on both 15x7 et17 koseis and my 15x8 et20 rotas.

in order to get the most out of these tires in a performance setting you should be running at least -3 degrees of camber which provides ample room.

Stock upper mounts here, like most. You can truly fit huge rubber under an E30 with -3, for sure.

I should have mentioned that I will be running roughly -2, with fixed camber plates and offset rubber strut mounts. -3 from real camber plates would definitely corner harder & have more room, but I'm an old geezer & won't give up my spongy rubber bits. [You r3V perverts (wait - that's redundant, isn't it?) feel free to run with that.] For a DD, -2 actually works pretty well, and with 1/16" toe-in, the tire wear is nice and even.
