    falken azenis for street use?

as the title says. Anyone using these tires for everyday use? If so, how much life do you expect out of them? Also, how do they perform in the wet?

I daily drove mine for about 1000 miles. With deep tread, they were fine in the wet. I cant speak for longevity, but I'd imagine they'd get scary in the rain as they wear

            no problem

On my old car (a Honda), I went through 2 sets, each lasting well over 20k miles. They tend to get noisy (even moreso than when new) but not quite as much as a Yoko A032 or a true R-compound.

The tires aren't too bad in the rain if you use common sense (which you should always be doing when driving) but they don't fare so well after some wear in standing water. On just wet pavement they grip awesome. I've used them on a wet racetrack and was impressed.

If you have a good head on your shoulders, I say "go for it."

My last two sets I ordered from either Tires.com or Vulcan Tire. This time around (I'm getting mine on Thursday), I ordered from the local tire shop. Internet pricing in the size I'm getting seems to be $98, and this shop is charging me $110 each. The price works out to be about the same after getting the mail-order tires shipped, and I don't have to go through the hassle of loading them into the trunk and trying to find a place that'll mount them. Just show up and have them slap 'em on.

I'd suggest weighing that option if you have a good place nearby. Try to find where the local road-racers go.

                      My $.02,
                      Mike

have mystikal aka Jau give his review....he loves them and drives a lot on the street with them, if I remember correctly.

but for $42 a pop, that is fucking awesome.

                              Que? :?:

$110 for each tire at the local tire dealer. Internet prices in my size are at $98, then you have to pay for shipping, so it all works out to be about the same. Mounting and balancing usually runs around $40-$60 a set. My place charges more for M&B if you don't buy from them. I'm looking at around $500 out-the-door for a set of 16" Azeni.
