Looking for advice on tire size

Well I'm shopping for some new tires cause I'm about done with my current set-up.

What I'm running now are BFgoodrich G-force sports and I'm not a big fan. Current size is 225/50/15 and running Bilstein sports with an eibach pro kit. With multiple people in the car, and at full lock going up an angle it will rub in the front, and sometimes in the rear.

I'm looking to downgrade a tire size and have found a wide selection of tires in 205/50/15, specifically the Sumitomo HTR-Z. I've heard good review from both BMW and Porche drivers based on the price and quality of performance. One of these tires is about half the price of my current tires.

My only question is, is this an undersized tire size because I know most 205 width tires selection will run a 55 series tire.

yes it's a little undersized, but not too bad. your speedo will read a little higher and it might be a little stiffer due to the shorter sidewalls, but nothing too terrible otherwise.

Thanks for the response, this was the kind of answer I was looking to get. I'm also fine with my speedo reading a little bit higher cause it already does. Plus it's good for speed cameras...

id stick with 205/55, but like nando, said, the other size isn't too undersized.
