    General offset question

You want the e30s to have an offset of 20 correct (or around there)? if it is 30 you add some 10mm spacers to bring it back down correct? Would the offset need to change a great deal with a lowerd suspension? I don't plan on going anything larger than 16in rims but i assume the same is true for 15-16in rims.

Just makeing sure i have things straight.

I will state up front that this is "my" take on this and you will want to verify this with someone else: If you're staying with stock width rims (even though they may be 15 or 16 in. rims) then try to keep the "resultant" offset at 20mm. I assume that if you go with a wider rim than stock then "split the difference"; i.e. if the rim is an inch wider (25.4mm) then you would want to add 10 or 15mm's to the offset (I rounded up or down because offsets more often than not come in 5mm increments; I know half of 25.4mm is 12.7mm) so you might buy a wheel with a 30 or 35mm offset. In this way you would keep the wheel/tire combo on the same centerline as stock. Just my thoughts...

It really depends on the width of the rim and the width of your tire. If you want to run 225's you might want closer to a 25mm offset. My rims are 7.5" wide and ET20, but I run 205's and I have just enough clearance.

        So a 7x15 with an ET of 25 i could get away w/o a spacer but a 5mm spacer woulden't hurt eather??

7x15 with a ET38 (VW) i would need a 15mm spacer and have to watch the tire size for clearence??

A 7x15 wheel with et25 would be ideal. No need to run spacers. I have that exact setup with 225/50 tires.

The et38 wheel with 15mm spacers would be good too.

Both would allow 225's, which is the widest you can go on a 7" wide rim anyways.
