    Strut Inserts for Touring

I am researching new OEM replacement front strut inserts for my Touring, and noticed on RealOEM that the Touring, Sedan, and Cabrio part numbers are all different (searched 10/88 prod date). When shopping for a Bilstein B4 or Sachs/Boge, does anyone know if I should get the Sedan/Coupe model or the Cabrio model?

    Thanks, Cory

Tourings use the same shocks as sedans and coupes in the front.

Looks like I'm about to pay another "stupid tax". Just received the Bilstien B4 front strut inserts. Went to add them to my parts stash and found the exact same parts that I bought last year and forgot about.

So, if anyone wants them for $50 each plus shipping, just PM me. They fit coupe, sedan, touring. I can deliver them to the Saturday show at The Vintage.

Since I finally got to drive the touring on new Bilstein Touring/B4 inserts/shocks I have to say it's quite a nice ride, but not really sporty. Fits the character of the M40 powered stock ride height car just perfectly.

Pretty sure I ordered whatever part number FCP had for a 318i (M42) sedan.

Looking forward to installing the B4s all around on the Touring. I'm a big fan of OEM suspensions on Bimmers. Save the tooth jarring, back busting, and coil overs for the track. Just wish I could find a moderate lowering package for E30s that keeps the OEM feel.
