Yeah, there are a few 10mm? fasteners/screws that are a bit hidden. Start by removing the access panels in the way back. Can't recall if the seat squabs for the rear seat have to come off too, somehow I think so. If you want to make life easier in future you can probably install the same setup that 318ti people use to make their shocks easier to service, which is some sort of inverted stock mount IIRC.
Like others said, remove the rear trim panels in the boot. There are a couple of plastic 10mm nuts under the boot floor panel and some philips head screws hiding under the trim panels themselves.
