Thanks guys, It has taken me a while to do the rebuild on these but I am very happy with the look. New spacers and bolts are ordered so by the end of the week she will be back on the road.
Thanks Jack, the ride home was great. Everything feels tight. Arlene took it for a test drive yesterday and loved the car so mission accomplished. Brian and I worked on her old E39 most of the day with clay bar, polish and wax getting it ready to sell.
We were able to get the carbon fiber stickers off the door handles and B pillar surrounds and remove the eyebrows off the touring. Today we will work on getting the old chrome tint removed so we can look at some of the ceramic tints like I used on the M3 then it's on to changing all the fluids so we have a base line for the servicing. It looks like new front brakes are going to be needed in the near future which we were told were upgraded to the bigger 540 setup.
Pics are old as car has been in storage for a few years. Once I finish the e30, I will start on the e28. At the time, not a lot of money as was still a college student.
My '02 525i w/58k miles. Sold it a little bit ago. Car was SUPER clean. Gray interior sucked after a while. Really hard to keep that clean with kids putting their feet & boogers all over the place. I do miss the solid planted ride on the highway. It was my 1st BMW.
