I just got the new daily driver a couple of weeks ago.
1995 540/6, GC/Koni coil overs, Dinan swaybars, Dinan 3.64 LSD, Dinan chip. AW III with Buffalo parchment inside.



This car is downright fun to drive. :D

Glad you were able to find one -- I saw the drama in that mye28 thread :)

How does it compare to the M5 in your sig?

They are two different cars. The M5 has torque from the big 6 but really does not come on the power band until the higher revs. At that point it pulls strong but from the lower rpm the V8 is amazing especially with the low gears. It would be an interesting race. I think, by the seat of my pants, that the 540 would take the M5 to about 100 then the M5 would definitely start to walk away. We will run them side by side someday and see.
